We all have our favorite places to order a bite to eat. Most restaurants are not something we need in our contact list however you also don’t want to constantly look up the phone number when you are in the mood for your favorite foods. While Bing search on Windows Phone is outstanding you still want to avoid doing a look-up every single time.
Option 1: Pin to Start Screen
Pin the restaurant to your start screen. Once you find the restaurant using bing search pin it to the bottom of your home screen. When you are looking at the location details you have the option to pin it to the home screen. The link added to the home screen will provide you all the details including web URL, Phone number and the option to make a reservation via OpenTable.
Option 2: Add to Favorites
Another option once you have found the location via bing search is to add it to your favorites. Once you click the add button in the bottom right the location is visible under favorites in local scout.
You don’t need to limit this to just restaurants but it is a useful feature of Windows Phone and makes calling to place an order, check on dry cleaning, or letting the school know you are picking up the kids early more efficient.
