Microsoft a few weeks ago announced that they were cutting ties with NBC and would revamp the MSN.com webpage and today the new page has gone live which looks great. The new MSN takes it look and feel from the Windows 8 Style UI were tiles are used with the end result being a much cleaner look and feel. In fact, you almost get the feel that it is a magazine more than it is a website.

One if the best parts of this upgrade is the fact that the news is now curated and seems to have much more content. I still used Google news for that very reason but it seems that this will be a thing of the past for me. Licking on a specific category gives you more direct information with the content still laid out in tile format.

The new sports section is really interesting as all the big stories are there but the addition of so many images makes the page just look way more visual.

Finally, looking at actual content has become more functional as well since the article is actually sitting in the middle but a scrollable list of additional content sets off to the left and top sports news is on the right.

The new interface is only available to Windows 8 machines running IE10. Overall the site looks great and feels great I am glad they updated it. Hopefully, as new Windows 8 users come on line they will appreciate the new content, look, and feel.
