Today Nokia announced there new Windows Phone 8 device which is called the Nokia  Lumia 920. So far all the rumors have been true with the inclusion of the Nokia Purview camera which allows better picture taking and extends those capabilities to taking video too. Also the Clear Black display is still a main feature on the Lumia 920 but new to the device is Wireless charging which will use the Qi standardized technology.

Camera Nokia Pureview – better pictures and video than any smart phone, IDC predicts images taken with a mobile phone will pass digital cameras. 1.4 billion Taken with mobile phones She talks about how the Pure View technology can capture 5 – 10 times the light of smartphone cameras today. Floating Lens technology better than SLR. Video Camera benefits from same technology.

Navigation – Location based apps will integrate to create a full experiences, with offline maps available not caching, Daily commute feature to help calculate when you need to leave to get to work on time. Indoor maps will help get you to exactly where you need to go. Nokia City lens will be integrated to Windows Phone 8 allowing you to see local businesses will be overlaid onto the screen including calling them Nokia maps will get X-ray vision just lift up the phone and it’ll give you a real-time overlay of where you should go!

Pure Motion HD Plus – Better than HD screen, with images popping out from the screen. Nokia has pioneered ClearBlack displays using polarizers to block sunlight which would even work in a desert.

Nokia Lumia 920 Battery – 2000Mah battery largest they have ever put into a phone and a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor.

Wireless charging – Fatboy recharge pillow works with the Lumia because if the standard Wireless Charging Qi. Partnerships with Virgin Atlantic who will put chargers in lounges and Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf will have wireless chargers on tables
