AT&T sent us the Plantronics BackBeat Go BlueTooth Headset to test and we are extremely glad they did. The Plantronics BackBeat Go sound great while paired to Windows Phone and the best sound quality is achieved with a good fitting ear bud therefore make sure you try the different sizes. The base sounds very good for a Bluetooth headset and you get a good amount of volume although we wish it were just a little louder. Finally, you will have problem making calls because the sound quality is clear. Everyone we test called said they could completely understand what was being said as well as commenting the overall call quality sounded good.

What are the BackBeat Go

The Plantronics BackBeat Go is a wireless earbud styled stereo headset which can be used for both listening to music and Podcasts and making phone calls. If you use headsets while you walk or jog these headsets are great and comfortable.

What Is In The Box

In the box you will find the Plantronics Headsets, User Manual, Charge Cord, and different size earbuds so you can get a good fit. The manual reads very easy which includes the instructions to pair the BackBeat with your Windows Phone.

The Design

The thing that stands out on these headset is how beautiful they look from the black rubberized cable to the shiny left and right earbuds. The charger port is neatly tucked away behind the right earbud which is very well done. The cable is long enough to fit behind your head or in front so you can wear these headsets which ever way you want. The actual tips are rubberized and come in three different sizes to fit your ear. This is the only downside for this headset because I prefer memory foam tips as opposed to the rubber ones.

Bluetooth Control Of  Windows Phone

One of the downsides of many Bluetooth devices is the fact that they do not all control Windows Phone very well however this is not an issue with the Plantronics BackBeat Go. The headsets have no problem answering and ending phone calls, turning the volume up and down, and even switching tracks on a playlist. The controls are conveniently located on the right side of the headset and can be easily operated with one hand.

Charging The BackBeat Go

The Charging of the headsets is pretty standard and you will see the red light go on while the headsets are charging conversely, it will turn blue when it is done. With the charger being a micro USB port you can rest assure that you wont have to carry extra cables to keep your phone and headset charged.

Overall Impressions

The Plantronics Backbeat Bluetooth Headsets look and feel great and work well with Windows Phone. I was happy to see full control of the phone from the headset, which really makes for a good experience while exercising. I love the way the headset fit both in my ear and around my neck they are extremely comfortable. The flat rubberized cable prevents tangling and really provides a good grip when handling the Backbeat Go.

You can get these headsets from AT&T Wireless or Amazon.com for 99 Dollars.
