According The Verge website, Microsoft will sell Windows 8 at a promotional price of 69.99 and afterwards will sell it for 199. Many Windows power users will be looking to build their own computers to pricing for the new Windows 8 operating system looks pretty good if you get it early. We knew from before that Windows 8 Upgrade price will be 39.99 if you upgrade from Windows XP, Vista, or 7 however, if you buy a PC between June 2, 2012 and January 31, 2013, then your Windows 7 upgrade is 14.99.

Adding to the upgrade pricing is another version where you can upgrade from Windows 8 to Windows 8 pro which will cost you 69.99 until January 31st 2013 then will go up to  99 dollars. There is no doubt that the Windows enthusiast should have no problem getting all their machines upgraded at a reasonable price, the just have to do it early.

I’m wondering, is it me…because I really do not understand this…as a Windows 7 user, I get to purchase Windows 8 “now”…at the low, low price of $69.99… or for $39.99 I can download it. Either way, this is before the bugs have been worked out…(and there are bugs…if one has downloaded the Evaluation copy, they would have found numerous problems) but if I don’t act “now” …after January 31st it will cost me $199.00…so basically, Microsoft wants me to invest my money,” now”…not later… into a product, not yet fully functional…would they do the same thing.
