During the Windows Phone 8 launch today, Steve Ballmer announced that Windows Phone 8 would be going on sale this weekend. We know that the initial devices we will see are coming from HTC, Samsung and of course Nokia. What Joe called the most personal smartphone you can get saw him focusing on the Windows Phone Live tiles during his presentation while Steve Ballmer more focused on the devices.
Steve took some time to show off the Samsung Ativ, the HTC 8X and the Nokia Lumia 920 which are all awesome looking devices. While still a bit vague, we were able to gather that AT&T will have their devices going on sale in November and will have devices from Nokia and HTC while Verizon will have devices from Samsung, HTC and Nokia that are going on sale by Thanksgiving.
